Dra. Andrezza Carvalho

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Oceanography (2019) from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). Completed a Master's (2021) and Ph.D. (2025) in Aquaculture at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), including a six-month research internship (sandwich Ph.D.) at the Virginia Seafood Agricultural Research and Extension Center (United States).

 Has experience in the field of Aquaculture, with an emphasis on the production of aquatic organisms in Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) systems, as well as the cultivation of macroalgae using aquaculture effluent and the application of the resulting biomass.

Currently holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship and serves as a collaborating professor in the Graduate Program in Aquaculture (PPGAq), teaching the courses Macroalgae Production and Biotechnology and Introduction to Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture, also acting as an academic advisor.
