Dr Jose Maria Monserrat
Graduated with honors in Biological Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1988. He received a master's degree in Biostatistics from the same University, having defended his thesis in 1993. He completed his doctorate in Biological Oceanography at the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG in 1997. In 2013 completed postdoctoral studies in Metabolomics at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Charleston, United States.

Dr Wilson Francisco Britto Wasielesky Junior
Graduated in Oceanology from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) in 1991 and Master in Biological Oceanography from FURG in 1994, where he joined as Assistant Professor I in June of the same year. PhD in Biological Oceanography by FURG in 2000 and Post-Doctorate at the University of South Carolina / Waddell Mariculture Center in 2005. He is the author of more than 170 scientific papers in indexed journals. He guides and mentored more than 120 undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of Aquaculture and Biological Oceanography.
