Graduated in Oceanology (2005) from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG). He completed a master's degree (2008) and doctorate (2015) in Aquaculture by FURG, with sandwich periods at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). Held a postdoctoral internship at the University of New South Wales (Australia).
He has experience in the area of Aquaculture, with an emphasis on Microbiology, working on the cultivation, collection and biotechnological uses of microalgae. He also has experience in the use of molecular tools for the identification of bacteria and in the statistical technique of Design of Experiments (DOE).
He is a reviewer of several journals in the area of aquaculture, microbiology and biotechnology, having already reviewed more than 110 articles in recent years (Publons).
He has articles published in journals with A1 classification by CAPES, in the Zootechnics/Fishery Resources assessment area, and with high impact factors (> 3.2). Articles can be accessed at ResearchGate.
He is currently a Postdoctoral fellow and works as a collaborating professor in the Postgraduate Program in Aquaculture (PPGAq / FURG), teaching the Microalgae Cultivation discipline and acting as an advisor.
