Graduated in Veterinary Medicine (2003) from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), with a specialization in Aquaculture (2006) from the State University of Bahia (UNEB), Master in Fisheries Resources and Aquaculture (2009) and PhD in Veterinary Science ( 2014) by the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE).

She has experience as a veterinary doctor, working mainly in aquaculture research, involving the lines of pathology, immunology, histology and diagnosis of diseases in aquatic organisms. Currently doing post-doctorate and participating as a collaborating professor in the graduate program in aquaculture at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) and activities of the Laboratory of Immunology and Pathology of Aquatic Organisms (LIPOA-FURG)
