Graduated in Oceanology (1999) from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), master's degree (2002) and doctorate in Aquiculture from the UNESP Aquaculture Center, Jaboticabal (2005).

He acts as Adjunct Professor I at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) at the Institute of Oceanography - Marine Aquaculture Station (EMA). Has experience in Marine Pisciculture and Continental waters, with an emphasis on Larviculture, Food and Fish Nutrition.
